She has sold over six million albums worldwide and sold over 10 million singles. Caillat was born in Malibu, California, and grew up in Newbury Park, California. Her debut single “Bubbly” peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Pop 100. in August 2008, Caillat released a song and video for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics called “Somethin’ Special”. Caillat provided background vocals for and co-wrote Taylor Swift’s song “Breathe”, on her album, Fearless. The second single, “Brighter Than the Sun”, was released in June.
