Adam Levine of Maroon 5 Bashes MTV VMAs

According to Adam Levine of “Maroon 5,” the MTV VMA‘s is a total sham and he doesn’t want part of the one time of the year that the network pretends to give a damn about music. Adam Levine stated: “It’s public knowledge that its not a music channel.” Adam Levine has caused quite the stir on this matter via Twitter.

Some think Adam Levine, front man of Maroon 5 is bitter for not being nominated. However he say’s he’s certain he was not nominated and he hasn’t been for years and that’s fine with him. Adam Levine recalls a time when he was just a kid and totally “worshiped” the VMAs. He stated: “I’d see these incredible moments where the whole world sat still to watch the VMAs and year round they’d play music — Nirvana, Pearl Jam, bands I loved.”

But it all has changed and he just hates the fact that MTV pretends to care about music. On saturday, Adam Levine Tweeted: “The VMA’s one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. f*ck you VMA’s.” And added: “still waiting to have my ‘jerry macguire mission statement moment of deep regret…’ not happening. phew!

It’s clear that he feels strongly about this and to a certain extent if not full he’s right. MTV is not about music anymore. The programming on MTV mostly consists of reality shows and celebrity gossip. Where did the music go? It’s no wonder that Adam Levine calls the VMAs a “promotional opportunity for artists.” Adam Levine, front-man of Maroon 5 totally bashed the VMAs and doesn’t want to do anything with it either.

So, do you think that Adam Levine is bitter about not having any nominations for some years now or is he merely just really pist off at the fact that MTV is no longer a network devoted to music? Drop your comments/opinions!
